Every adoption story is a reminder that generosity changes lives. As we wind down, there are still so many stories to tell. 

Today we’re sharing the joy of a family whose adoption has recently been finalized. They wanted to pass along a heartfelt thank-you to the donors who walked alongside them on this journey. We hope you enjoy reading August’s story.

The Lord stirred our hearts toward adoption long before we met. My husband and I always believed He had placed this desire in us to care for children, but we didn’t know how much He would also grow our compassion for birth mothers.

As foster parents, our eyes were opened to the incredible need expectant mothers have for support, encouragement, and Christ’s love. Around that time, we discovered Zoe’s House and were drawn to their heart for honoring, respecting, and caring for birth mothers as they considered the best path for themselves and their babies. We wanted women who courageously chose life for their children to be seen and cared for first, and if the Lord invited us to be part of that story, we were all in. It was such a blessing to partner with an agency that shared those values.

Adoption comes with many practical hurdles, including finances. Your generosity toward Zoe’s House was a tremendous blessing as we were matched with our son, August. Watching the agency faithfully care for his birth mother while also easing the financial burden on our family was an incredible gift. Thank you for your prayers and support. You are impacting so many lives for the Kingdom!

Today, August is 9 months old and thriving. He is the happiest, most joyful little boy (and no, we’re not biased!). We’ve also been blessed with a wonderful relationship with his birth mom and are grateful to stay connected through messages and visits. The Lord has been so gracious to us, and both August and his birth mom are such gifts.
