“You, like so many others, have now been woven into the fabric of Caedmon’s story. Thank you for your support, thank you for your prayers, and thank you for being willing to give to families who you do not know. There is great power in faithfulness.”
One of the most meaningful things we can share with our supporters is the gratitude of the families whose lives have been changed through adoption.
Today we’re passing along a note from a family whose adoption has recently been finalized. They wanted you to know how much your support meant during their journey. We hope their words encourage you as much as they encouraged us.
Our hearts are overflowing with thanks to you and love for our new son, Caedmon. There were many years in which we did not think this day would ever come. We had been in the adoption process for over four years, and there were moments and seasons when we despaired of ever adding to our family. It was only when our striving ceased, and we laid our journey before God, that He met us deeply, and in due time brought Caedmon to us and us to Caedmon.
We found out on January 6, 2026 that we had been chosen to be Caedmon’s parents. It was a day of joy and thanksgiving, and the fact that it is when the Church celebrates the wise men visiting the Christ Child made it all the sweeter for us.
After that call, I, Asha was able to spend time with the Zoe’s House team and Caedmon’s expectant parents, which led to me being in the delivery room for Caedmon’s birth. Thanks to God, Greg, who was on a work trip out of state, landed in Kansas within an hour of Caedmon’s birth. We have since finalized Caedmon’s adoption and brought him home, where he has also been welcomed by his two older brothers, Aslan and Braven.

Adoption, as most of you know, is incredibly expensive, in time, emotions, and particularly money. We have had people praying for us, friends supporting us emotionally, and people like you walking beside us with financial gifts. All these groups had a role to play. Many of these people we know personally and have been able to thank in person. Others we’ve never met and likely never will meet. We may not know your names, but we have been blessed by your gifts. Indeed, whether you know it or not, we would not have been able to adopt Caedmon without you. You, like so many others, have now been woven into the fabric of Caedmon’s story. Thank you for your support, thank you for your prayers, and thank you for being willing to give to families who you do not know. There is great power in faithfulness. Thank you.
With love,
Gregory & Asha, Aslan, Braven and Caedmon
