At Zoe’s House, adoption is never a journey of just one family, but one supported by an entire community. Today, we’re honored to introduce you to one of the families whose adoption has recently been finalized. They wanted to share a short note of thanks with those who helped make their dream of family a reality:

It’s hard to put into words how grateful we are for your support. Like many people, we felt the quiet invitation from the Lord to consider adoption, even as we were dating, but it was easy to ignore- frankly, financially, we weren’t sure if or when it would be something we could afford. When we found out through various diagnoses that adoption would be the only way we could grow our family, it was hard not to despair; while we had always wanted adoption to be a part of our story, it just seemed so impossibly out of reach. 

Then we found Zoe’s House. 

Because of your support, we were met with kind and capable staff who guided us every step of the way, and ultimately, a pricing structure that made it possible to follow the Lord’s call and grow our family through adoption. Just a few short days after becoming active, we got the phone call that changed our lives forever—and welcomed our son Isaac three days later on Labor Day Weekend. Born at just 2 pounds 5 oz and 27 weeks of gestation, we were supported all the way through our nearly 90 days in the NICU and beyond by the Zoe’s House team. Today, we have the smiliest, sweetest six-month-old you ever did see. 

As we prepare to celebrate his “forever family” finalization day in a few weeks, we cannot help but reflect in gratitude for you, dear donor, who made this dream a reality. Words cannot describe the joy he has brought to our world and our family, none of which would have been possible without you.
