The JOY of Baby Simon….

How does it feel to know that you helped make Simon’s whole life story possible? That’s what we call the JOY OF BEING THE DONOR!

Baby Simon had a hard start. His birth mom went into labor early, and baby Simon spent his first few days of life in the NICU. During her hospital stay, Simon’s birth mom began to make an adoption plan and let her heart dream about what kind of family she would want to place Simon into. Her heart’s desire came true with Simon’s adoptive family, and she chose an open adoption. This brave birth mother wanted her son to always know how much she loves him. 

Because of you — our partners — Zoe’s House had the resources to pivot and help make this adoption possible as soon as we got the call. Because of your generosity, Simon was adopted into a family, not placed in the foster care system.

Some of the Zoe’s House activity that you help make 

possible is awareness outreach to local hospitals. 

We build bridges, connect, and develop trusting 

relationships with hospital staff.  We do this because 

sometimes a baby Simon is born, and if the staff are unaware

that a trustworthy place like Zoe’s House exists, 

these babies are placed into foster care.

Simon’s forever family writes about what a strong little fighter he is in their letter to you pictured above. After 33 days in the NICU battling a lung infection, he came home to his FAMILY.
