Funded by sacred gifts from our partners, the Zoe’s House team tirelessly advances the mission of serving expectant parents and adoptive families with dignity and the love of Christ.
The Teddy Bear Project makes a way for compassionate and generous friends of Zoe’s House to provide comprehensive, ongoing care for every woman who walks through our doors. The project goal is to raise $10,000/month through recurring gifts that would fund our annual birth mother care budget of $125,000. Your monthly Teddy Bear Project gift of any amount provides wrap-around care for the brave women served by Zoe’s House.
Gatherings
We are delighted to introduce The Teddy Bear Project - small story-telling and vision-casting gatherings in the homes of Zoe's House partners, friends and family.
The goal of these gatherings will be to invite friends and fmaily that share a passion for the sanctity of life into the storyline of adoption in Kansas City and beyond. The Teddy Bear Project makes a way for compassionate and generous friends of Zoe's House to provide comprehensive, ongoing care for every woman who walks through our doors. Each home gathering will significantly impact how we serve birth mothers, and your guests will be invited to partner with a monthly to be part of this initiative.
THE STORY OF THE TEDDY BEAR...
Every birth mother served by Zoe's House receives a plush teddy bear to hold during the birth of her baby. As she embraces the bear, it takes on her scent, and she is encouraged to write a short note to her baby to be placed in a pocket on the front of the bear. The teddy bear becomes a symbol of the love between birth mother and child, a comfort during infancy and a lifetime reminder of being wanted and loved.
