“What will you do if you win?”

Roe v. Wade

Dear friends,

Sometimes, you get what you pray for.

Years ago, we stood with our children on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court in silent prayer for the reversal of Roe v. Wade.  An abortion rights advocate challenged us that day, demanding “What will you do if you win? You don’t want the babies either!”

Randy and Kelsey holding 6-week old twins, Anna and Mercy, praying for the ending of abortion at TheCall San Diego in 2008.

Kelsey and I took that challenge very seriously.  We decided we had to put feet to our prayers and the next year we adopted Zoe, a baby girl from Las Vegas.  Two years later we adopted newborn twin girls… then another set of twins… and another baby boy.

That day on the steps of the Court changed our family forever. From those prayers,  Zoe’s House was born to provide excellent care to expectant moms and to support families who said “yes” to the spirit of adoption.

This morning, as the Dobbs decision was announced and we all learned that Roe v. Wade was reversed, I wept. This was the day for which we were challenged. This is the day that Zoe’s House was made for.

This all coincides with a unique $25,000 matching grant opportunity given to us through July 15.  Your gift will be doubled by generous donors like you who understand that since Roe v. Wade is a part of American history, adoption is a vital part of America’s future.
