Malachi’s birth mom came to us in the fall of 2023. Her story held much pain but one thing was certain – she loved this baby and she was making this decision out of love.

As she carefully looked over each family profile, imagining her child in one of these families, she kept a secret in her heart, his name… Malachi, “messenger of God”. 

She selected a family,  Brant and Abby. She liked that they lived in a small town and could imagine her son being raised by this family. After she had picked Brant and Abby she discovered the name they had unknowingly had chosen: Malachi.  

Tears flowed in that sacred moment, knowing God was bringing two families together. No mistake.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you.” – Jeremiah 1:5

Malachi’s message is for us all… God is intrinsically instrumental in each of our lives and weaves together a story only He could write.
