A Musical Production Portraying the History of Adoption in Kansas City

Adoption education is a huge part of the Zoe’s House journey, and stories educate people. Kansas City’s history is full of faith-provoking stories.

This winter, we will continue to tell Zoe’s House stories, but we will also tell the stories of Kansas City’s history – stories that tell why Kansas City was considered the “Adoption Hub of America”  in the early 1900s, and the tale of the 20 Christian women who started a movement to care for the widow and orphan in our city.

With the help of local musicians, singers, dancers, choreographers, and artisans, we will use the music, song, dance, and dramatic presentation to produce The Journey Home: Kansas City’s Legacy of Adoption, to be performed at The City Stage in Union Station, March 3-5, 2023.

Auditions will be held on January 7 at The Culture House, 14808 W 117th St, Olathe, KS 66062.
